Based in Central Florida, Tom started his own financial planning and investment firm just a few years out of college, and now, 30+ years later, has three affiliated firms: Destiny Family Office in Winter Park, Destiny Wealth Management/Ruggie Wealth Management in Tavares and The Villages, and Nichols Wealth Partners in Boca Raton.
He talks about how he has succeeded in growing his firm to more than $1B in managed assets by keeping clients happy and doing the little things right, growing largely through word of mouth and client referrals.
Ruggie spends most of his time with family office clients, where he has built a niche working with top-tier collectors and has helped them incorporate their collections in all of their planning. He also provides his qualified clients with access to significant offerings in alternative, direct and co-investments.
