Destiny Family Office founder recognized for leadership in expanding access to sophisticated alternative and private market investments
We’re honored to announce that Tom has been named a finalist in the 2026 ThinkAdvisor Luminaries Awards in the UHNW Wealth Management/Family Offices: Thought Leadership and Education individual category.
These awards recognize “firms and individuals in financial services for excellence beyond traditional metrics, celebrating exemplary leadership, groundbreaking innovation and the visionaries helping shape what’s next for the industry.”
Tom’s recognition reflects his work helping redefine how sophisticated investors and financial advisors think about alternative investments at a time when private markets are playing an increasingly important role in wealth creation.
Through Destiny Family Office and its Destiny Access Qualified Purchaser (QP) platform, Tom has built an expanding community of eligible investors seeking access to sophisticated alternative, direct and co-investment opportunities that have historically been difficult for individual investors to access.
That work has included helping QP’s gain access to private investment opportunities in category-defining companies including pre-IPO SpaceX, xAI, OpenAI, Stripe, Databricks, Anduril, Agility, Crusoe and other sought-after private businesses. His broader alternative investment expertise also encompasses private equity, venture capital, private credit, direct lending, real estate, and hedge strategies.
Importantly, Tom has worked to move the conversation around private markets beyond individual opportunities and toward disciplined implementation within a comprehensive wealth strategy. His philosophy emphasizes that beyond access, due diligence, risk management, liquidity considerations, tax and estate planning and long-term discipline all help determine whether an alternative investment belongs in an investor’s portfolio.
“The 2026 Luminaries Awards continue to push the boundaries of what excellence and achievement mean in the financial services industry,” said Janet Levaux, editor-in-chief of ThinkAdvisor. “This year’s finalists demonstrate incredible leadership and innovation, while at the same time making a positive impact on their communities and the industry at large.”
“This recognition reflects what we are building,” Tom said. “We want to give sophisticated investors access to opportunities they may not otherwise see, but equally important, provide the insight and framework to evaluate those opportunities within the context of their entire financial lives.”
